How it all began

HomeGrown wasn't even a thought in September 2007 when I met Austin at Coffee d'Vine in Huntington. In fact, we were both in High School, living the dream of going to school and working part time. That September day in 2007, I was having lunch at Coffee d with a friend, who worked at the coffee shop. That day, I was introduced to the guy behind the counter. Little did I know the guy behind the counter who made my coffee, would one day be my husband! We were introduced and soon I got a job working with him. From that day on, well, let's just say the rest is history.

We continued working at what we knew was the best place on earth, Coffee d'Vine. When we weren't in school, we would be found at the coffee shop enjoying our favorite drinks with the best company. We continued dating for 3 years and got married October 23, 2010. From an introduction at a hometown coffee shop to today, a lot of life has happened, but there is nothing I would ever want to change about the journey we have been on.

When we were first married we lived in a house that had great potential, but needed a lot of work. As many newlyweds, we couldn't afford to just hire it done, so we did what we had to do to make it our home. We learned little by little how to renovate and revive a home; to create a space that felt like us. Looking back now, we had no idea that we were in training for what was to come.
